It’s that time of year again, March Break is just around the corner, and many of us are scrambling to find ways to fill the days with fun activities for our little ones. We’ve gone ahead and done some research for you, have no fear, there is plenty going on to keep the kids entertained, and you sain this March Break! Did we miss any? Let us know! 

1. Free skating 

Dust off your old skates and head down to the Beaver Valley Community Centre. Free skating will be hosted between 12pm and 1pm, March 13-17. Don’t have skates? Maybe check out the BVO just around the corner from the Community Centre, they might have a used pair you could try out!

2. Rock climbing for all ages

If you want something a little more adventurous why not try rock climbing? Climbers Corner in Collingwood is the only indoor climbing gym in the area and has special hours just for march break. March 13-17 you kids can climb from 12pm- 10pm at just $8.50/child.

3. Slide, jump, hide, run around… act like a kid! 

Collingwood’s Kidding Around, an massive indoor playground,  is offering a day camp for kiddies, and also has regular “drop-in and play: hours throughout the break! Memo: Make sure to bring your socks! Regular Hours during the week are from 9:30 am to 7/8pm and 10am to 5pm on Sundays. Kids unlimited all day passes are just $12.00!

4. Outdoor adventure

Scenic Caves is offering a steal of a deal for families this March Break - with trail passes marked down to $10.00! Passes are good through March 13-17. Take the entire family outdoors for a fun filled nature adventure. Hike, cross country ski or snowshoe the beautiful trails, traverse the 420 ft. Suspension Bridge with incredible views, or enjoy the adventure beneath the stars! Try a cross-country ski by moon and headlight with a guided tour.

5. Horseback Riding Camp! 

Mountain View Stables are offering a March Break Camp for kids this March Break! Your kids will enjoy daily riding lessons handling, grooming and tacking. By the end of the week you will have a horse enthusiast on your hands!

6. Skiing, Lip Sync Battle, Fireworks, Indoor Games Room & More @Blue Mountain Village 

Skiing with the family is always a great way to spend time together and pass fun filled days during March break. This might be your last opportunity to enjoy the snow this winter with spring just around the corner. If skiing isn’t for you and your fam, the Blue Mountain Village is still a great place to find lots to do for you and the kids this March Break. From pottery painting at Crock-A-Doodle, to the March Break Indoor Activities Room at Grand Central Lodge, to the Family Channel Lip Sync Battle and Concerts in the village - there is plenty to keep you and the kids entertained this March Break!

7. March Madness - Kids Workshops 

Collingwood Custom Furniture is hosting creative kids workshops March 13-17. Kids can attend one or all of the workshops as each one is unique. From wall clocks to mason jars attendees will be painting up their own custom pieces to take home. This is perfect for the shy or creative little ones. Workshops are for 7+, at $59.00 each or $250.00 for the week. Space is limited and pre-registration is a must.
